Salary:

Forte Human Capital, Inc. is seeking highly skilled and dedicated physicians to provide exceptional care at VA Medical Centers (VAMC) through our contract services. This position involves delivering comprehensive care in the Emergency Department, addressing a wide range of medical conditions.

Licensing Requirements:

• Physicians must hold a current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in any State, U.S. Territory, or the District of Columbia when performing onsite at VA facilities.
• Physicians with a history of license restrictions, suspensions, or revocations will not be eligible for this contract.

Board Certification:

• Physicians must be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Family Practice.
• Additionally, they must maintain current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through the American Heart Association.

Work Schedule:

• The VA Emergency Department operates 24/7, and physicians will work 12-hour shifts, including: 7 AM 7 PM and 7 PM 7 AM

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality care, including evaluation, emergent treatment, and management for a wide variety of conditions such as trauma, cardiovascular disorders, respiratory emergencies, and more.
• Perform minor procedures like laceration repair, local anesthesia, and catheterization.
• Conduct major procedures such as central venous line placement, intubation, emergency chest tube placement, and more when necessary and appropriate.
• Collaborate on patient stabilization and transfer in cases where care exceeds VAMC capabilities, ensuring safe and effective transitions to higher-level care facilities.
• Ensure timely attendance for all scheduled shifts and maintain strong communication with team members, particularly during handovers and inpatient admissions.
