Position: Trailer Mechanic
Location: Vancouver, WA
Pay: $25-$30/hr DOE
Schedule:

• Full-Time
  
  
• Monday - Friday
  
  
• 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
  
  
• No weekends
  
  
• Day Shift

Who We Are:
Opti Staffing is partnering with a locally owned trucking company that has been in business for over 40 years and continues to grow. They are looking for a dependable Trailer Mechanic to join their team and perform preventative maintenance and repairs on their fleet, primarily refrigerated trailers.


This is a long-term, permanent opportunity with a stable company that offers consistent hours, benefits, and opportunities for growth.
What You'll Do:

• Perform preventative maintenance on trailers, primarily refrigerated units.
  
  
• Inspect trailers and identify mechanical issues.
  
  
• Perform tire changes and repairs.
  
  
• Service and replace hub assemblies and wheel bearings.
  
  
• Repair and replace trailer lights.
  
  
• Perform minor electrical repairs and troubleshooting.
  
  
• Complete general trailer maintenance and repairs.
  
  
• Keep tools, equipment, and work areas clean and organized.
  
  
• Follow all safety procedures and company standards.

What You Need to Have:

• Previous mechanical experience or experience in a position requiring strong mechanical ability.
  
  
• Basic understanding of mechanical systems and repairs.
  
  
• Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues.
  
  
• Strong work ethic and dependable attendance.
  
  
• Team-player attitude.
  
  
• Ability to work independently when needed.
  
  
• Your own basic mechanic tools.

The Musts:

• Mechanical aptitude and hands-on repair experience.
  
  
• Must have your own tools.
  
  
• Dependable and reliable.
  
  
• Ability to work Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM.
  
  
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
  
  
• Willingness to learn and take direction.

Preferred:

• Previous trailer mechanic experience.
  
  
• Experience working on refrigerated trailers.
  
  
• Experience with tires, hubs, wheel bearings, and trailer electrical systems.
  
  
• Previous trucking, fleet, or heavy-duty equipment experience.
  
  
• Basic electrical troubleshooting experience.
