Modern Molding has an immediate opening for a 1st shift Quality Control Technician. We feature a positive, fast-paced, high-energy environment and this position is perfect for anyone who enjoys people and loves a good challenge!
The Quality Control Technician plays a key role in contributing to our quality objectives working closely with our production staff to assure the mutual success of our team. If you like people and problem solving, you will love this job!
Key tasks include:
· Performs dimensional measurements of product and enters data into our SPC system
· Monitors SPC charts and run charts to assure process control
· Setups, modifies, and maintains data collection plans within our SPC system
· Confirms satisfactory completion of tool repairs
· Assists production to resolve quality issues and solve problems.
· Completes additional performance testing for certain products
· Files documentation and applies revision control
Key attributes for the successful candidate include:
· Self-motivated with good people skills
· Willing to meet challenges head on and create solutions
· Inquisitive-works to understand the issue in order to solve it
· Mechanical aptitude
· Ability to visually evaluate color
· Blueprint reading & GD&T
· Basic level computer skills
· Prior experience with plastic molded parts and/or inspection
