Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a telemetry unit with a heavy neurology patient population, including post-surgical neurology patients and varied neurology diagnoses
• Monitor and interpret telemetry data, responding appropriately to changes in patient conditionutilize the NIH Stroke Scale as part of routine neurological assessments
• Maintain a patient assignment ratio of 1:5
• Float between units within the facility as needed
• Commit to working 3 of 5 designated holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license ; compact license must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 1 year of telemetry nursing experience
• Proficiency with Epic charting system
• Willingness to work on a heavy neurology unit and learn neurology-focused care (prior neuro experience not required)
• Must submit all time-off requests upfront at the time of submission; post-offer requests may not be accommodated
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience caring for post-surgical neurology patients
• Familiarity with the NIH Stroke Scale
• Experience in a Level II Trauma Center or similarly complex acute care environment
