Store Manager in Training

Job Overview The Store Manager In Training (SMIT) program is a 16‑week development role focused on preparing you for a CVS Store Manager position. You’ll participate in a self‑paced, collaborative training that includes virtual and hands‑on learning experiences. Key Responsibilities Communicate verbally and in writing with your team to support and lead them. Perform customer care duties to provide high levels of service. Execute merchandising strategies to support store sales growth. Manage store inventory and assets to maintain profitability. Actively engage with your leader in Key Learning Experiences to support your path to promotion. Support your store as a management team member, leading consistent with CVS values and policies. Engage colleagues in supporting the company's purpose of helping people on their path to better health. Expectations and Promotion SMIT participants are expected to be willing to accept promotion roles within the designated market and may be promoted to a Store Manager role at any location in the market based on performance and openings. Qualifications High School diploma or GED (required). A four‑year college degree is preferred or relevant work experience may substitute. Retail management experience or experience as a CVS Supervisor. Willingness to accept promotion to Store Manager role at any location in the designated market. Ability to transfer to other CVS Pharmacy stores within the designated market. Ability to work a schedule that may vary based on business needs. Compensation and Benefits Full‑time position, estimated 45 hours per week. Pay range: $18.50–$28.67 per hour (base).
