Position Summary: Perform advanced diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on a diverse fleet supporting the electric utility industry Service and repair Ford F-150s, Super Duty trucks, Freightliner M2 bucket and digger trucks, trailers, and related equipment Maintain and troubleshoot bucket and digger systems, including Altec and Terex units Work on a wide range of powertrains, including: Ford 5.0L and 3.5L EcoBoost engines Ford 6.7L Power Stroke diesel engines Cummins ISB 6.7L and ISL 9 engines Allison automatic transmissions Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Responsible for performing proper maintenance and repair of our new cutting-edge fleet of heavy-duty trucks, pickup trucks, specialized utility equipment, and trailers. Possess writing and typing skills to properly document repairs and inspections performed. Use welding and cutting equipment to make repairs or fabricate special parts and customize equipment. Road test, inspect and troubleshoot heavy duty trucks and equipment to assess condition and diagnose repairs. Must possess basic working knowledge of automatic and manual transmissions, differentials, power-take-off drives, clutches and related drive train components. Must possess basic working knowledge of hydraulic systems and components to include pumps, cylinders, motors, and control valves. Field repairs and maintenance will be necessary when equipment is on-site. Retrieve diagnostic trouble codes and interpret scan tool data Troubleshoot, adjust, replace, repair and rewire electrical systems and components, such as ignitions, signals, lights and electrical controls, including computer-controlled components. Order parts, supplies, and tools from designated vendors. Work in conjunction with other shop and job site personnel under the direction of shop supervisor. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Requirements: Must have a current, valid driver's license with the ability to obtain a Class A CDL within 6 months Work 40+ hours per week to include holidays, weekends and/or storm events as needed Must possess your own basic mechanic tools kit (specialty tools are supplied) Working knowledge of health, safety and environmental protection practices and procedures Must be able to lift 75 lbs.
