Work Environment\nAs a remote position, this role offers flexibility and the opportunity to manage your schedule effectively while maintaining a focus on quality patient care. Regular communication tools and electronic health record (EHR) systems will facilitate collaboration and patient management from a distance.
Key Responsibilities\n- \n
- Conduct mental health evaluations to assess students' emotional status and develop appropriate treatment plans tailored to their specific needs. \n
- Provide ongoing psychotherapy sessions, typically on a weekly basis, for a diverse caseload of students, utilizing evidence-based practices to help them navigate their mental health challenges. \n
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, including teachers, school counselors, and parents, to coordinate holistic care that addresses the academic, social, and emotional needs of students. \n
- Implement crisis interventions for students in distress, executing necessary emergency protocols when needed, while ensuring safety and support. \n
- Maintain compliance with all relevant policies, including HIPAA regulations, ensuring the confidentiality and security of patient information. \n
- Utilize technology to document and manage patient information efficiently, leveraging our intuitive documentation system to streamline processes. \n
This role primarily focuses on the mental health needs of students in a school setting, addressing a range of psychological challenges including anxiety, depression, adjustment issues, and behavioral problems. You will work with children and adolescents who may also present with complex family dynamics, requiring a compassionate and empathetic approach to care.
Qualifications\n- \n
- A Master’s degree in Social Work is required, coupled with a valid Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) credential. \n
- Proven experience in mental health care settings, preferably within educational or long-term care environments. \n
- Strong familiarity with diagnosing and treating mental health issues, including knowledge of specific needs such as adjustment disorders and dementia-related challenges in the geriatric population. \n
- Adept in utilizing technology, particularly EHR and documentation systems, to facilitate efficient patient care. \n
- Demonstrable empathy and strong interpersonal skills, with a commitment to building trusting relationships with students and families. \n
