Job Title
Required Skills & Experience Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline. 10+ years as a Systems Engineer and/or Project Engineer. Strong customer-facing experience. Experience defining requirements from system-level to subsystem-level. Knowledge of SATCOM equipment, networking, Linux systems, and troubleshooting. Experience leading multidisciplinary teams. Active DoD Secret Clearance. Ability to travel up to 25%.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience Master's Degree. PMP certification. TS/SCI Clearance. Deep understanding of airborne communications systems. Knowledge of military C3, Airlift, and ISR mission requirements. Aerospace certification experience. Government aviation customer experience.
Job Description Serve as the primary technical point of contact for customers. Define system requirements, CONOPs, and technical architectures. Support integration, testing, deployment, and certification activities. Drive SRR, PDR, CDR, and TRR reviews. Lead interdisciplinary teams across engineering, operations, business development, and program management. Ensure SATCOM systems meet customer requirements and certification standards. Support new business pursuits and proposal activities. Interface directly with government customers and senior Viasat leadership. Define practical technical solutions and execution plans. Manage technical communications throughout the program lifecycle.
