Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required for ICU, ED, PACU, Endo, Tele, OB, MHN Pre-Op and Specialty Procedural areas. PALS required for Pediatric areas (except NICU). RNs from non‑pediatric background have 30 days from hire to obtain PALS. NRP certification required for NICU. RNs from non‑NICU background have 30 days from hire to obtain NRP. Certification in Fetal Monitoring (Intermediate or Advanced) required for L&D RNs prior to job orientation. RN Fellowship Program requires one year of RN independent practice (not inclusive of orientation); specialties require ACLS and BLS certifications. Newly licensed RNs have six months to obtain ACLS and/or PALS.
