Job Duties
- Follow all safety regulations and encourage safe work practices.
- Follow all company policies and procedures and encourage co-workers to follow company policies and procedures.
- Process all required paperwork and maintain adequate records for reporting and tracking
- Maintain filling of shipping documents
- Prepare and schedule shipments as required
- Oversee the secure and accurate loading and unloading of deliveries
- Track shipments and verify receipts of shipments as required
- Manage inventory of shipping materials and supplies
- Sort and distribute incoming shipments
- Perform quality audits of the condition of shipped good for both incoming and outgoing items
- Follow current standards and procedures
- Ensure that shipments contain proper documentation
- Problem solve for any cases of missing documents, shipments and deliveries
- Maintain organized work area according to policies, procedures and safety regulations
- Make deliveries of parts to required area per forklift or other company vehicle
- Actively participate in developing a LEAN manufacturing culture
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
- Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
- Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a fast paced, high pressure environment with multiple projects at once
- Commitment to quality and safety
- Overtime as required
- Consistent attendance is an essential function of this position
- Strong work ethic and positive team attitude
- Good interpersonal and customer service skills
- Ability to communicate professionally with co-workers
- Ability to watch, duplicate and troubleshoot processes to make improvements
- Knowledge of workplace safety, safe lifting and handling procedures
- Knowledge of appropriate materials, methods and the tools required in various processes
- Ability to follow Standard Operating Procedure
- Meridian Forklift license
Working Conditions
- Ability to work with a variety of hand tools
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted, 50 or more with assistance
- Regularly works near moving mechanical parts and in conditions that include heat, humidity, cold and exposure to dust
- Regularly required to work outside in acclimate weather
- Must be able to lift, push, pull or carry objects
- Must be able to see, breath, stand, walk, crawl, bend, climb and stoop
