Our client, a reputable global manufacturing firm, is in search of a skilled Environmental, Health, Safety & Security (EHS&S) Engineer to spearhead environmental, health, safety, and security efforts across various manufacturing sites in Eastern Tennessee. Responsibilities

In the capacity of EHS&S Engineer, you will function as a vital member of the plant leadership team responsible for safeguarding employees, ensuring adherence to regulations, and enhancing overall operational safety metrics.

Duties include:

• Overseeing Environmental, Health, Safety & Security programs at multiple manufacturing complexes
• Devising and executing strategic EHSS initiatives aimed at enhancing workplace safety and environmental compliance
• Supervising departmental finances and safety enhancement projects
• Serving as the facility’s representative on the Global EHSS Council
• Leading ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems and initiatives for continual improvement
• Conducting Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), safety observations, incident inquiries, and risk assessments
• Creating and providing EHSS training schemes for employees and leadership
• Ensuring compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, TDEC, and other federal, state, and local statutes
• Managing Workers’ Compensation procedures and efforts to decrease injuries
• Monitoring key performance indicators and suggesting procedural enhancements
• Promoting a forward-thinking safety ethos throughout the organization

Requirements

We seek individuals with:

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or similar discipline is preferred
• 5+ years of Environmental, Health & Safety experience within a manufacturing environment (with degree)
• 8+ years of manufacturing EHS experience (without degree)
• Thorough familiarity with OSHA, EPA, DOT, TDEC, and environmental regulations
• Experience in implementing or managing ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 systems
• Remarkable analytical, organizational, and communication competencies
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence all levels of the organization
• Adeptness in Microsoft Office applications
