Market Lead Veterinarian
Loved Veterinary Services
Job Description
Join Loved Veterinary Services
\nBuild Meaningful Care in Your Community
\nLoved Veterinary Services is seeking an experienced veterinarian to become the clinical and community lead.
\n \nThis is a unique position for a veterinarian who wants the independence and community connection that often draws people toward practice ownership, while practicing within the support, systems, resources, and shared mission of an established organization.
\n \nAs Market Lead, you'll provide the same thoughtful in-home end-of-life care as every Loved veterinarian while also serving as our primary veterinary presence within your community. You'll help build trusted local relationships, identify opportunities to better serve families, and help establish a market that can grow sustainably.
\n \nThis is a highly autonomous role, but it is not an independent-practice model. Market Leads have meaningful local ownership while working within Loved's shared clinical standards, operational systems, brand, and broader organizational strategy.
\n \nDeliver Exceptional In-Home Veterinary Care
\n- \n
- Perform quality-of-life assessments and euthanasia services with excellent medical judgment, compassion, and confidence. \n
- Provide individualized care while consistently delivering the Loved clinical and family experience. \n
- Prepare thoughtfully for appointments and communicate clearly with families before, during, and after their care. \n
- Complete documentation, follow-up, controlled-drug responsibilities, and clinical tasks accurately and promptly. \n
- Maintain appropriate medications, inventory, equipment, and backup supplies for your market. \n
Lead Through Reliability and Ownership
\n- \n
- Serve as the primary veterinary presence and trusted local representative of Loved. \n
- Work independently while maintaining consistent communication and transparency with the larger Loved team. \n
- Identify problems early and communicate when support or resources are needed. \n
- Consistently utilize Loved's shared systems so clinical care, client follow-up, outreach, and operational responsibilities remain visible to the team. \n
- Model the clinical, communication, and operational standards expected of future veterinarians within the market. \n
Build Meaningful Community Relationships
\n- \n
- Develop and maintain relationships with veterinary hospitals, emergency and urgent-care teams, groomers, boarding facilities, and other pet-care professionals. \n
- Maintain and develop the market's referral outreach pipeline in collaboration with Loved's marketing and leadership teams. \n
- Conduct regular in-person referral-partner visits and follow-up. \n
- Provide brief educational presentations, Lunch & Learns, and other opportunities to help local teams better understand end-of-life care and Loved's services. \n
- Participate in appropriate veterinary associations and community organizations. \n
- Become a trusted local resource for veterinary teams and families navigating end-of-life care. \n
Help Thoughtfully Grow the Market
\n- \n
- Provide local insight to leadership regarding market needs, service opportunities, referral relationships, and barriers to growth. \n
- Partner with Loved's centralized marketing, operations, Care Team, and medical leadership rather than independently recreating those functions. \n
- Provide thoughtful feedback on systems and protocols while consistently working within established standards. \n
- Help create a local care experience that can be successfully replicated as additional veterinarians join the market. \n
- Participate in onboarding, mentoring, and supporting future veterinarians as the market grows. \n
Your Schedule
\nOur scheduling model is intentionally designed to protect the time and emotional capacity required for meaningful end-of-life care.
\n \nFull-time veterinarians maintain approximately 20 two-hour bookable service blocks each week, distributed across reasonable and useful appointment times for the families we serve.
\nAs the market grows, our goal is a sustainable average of approximately 15 completed services per veterinarian each week.
\n \nMarket Leads also carry meaningful community and market-development responsibilities. Some weeks may include referral visits, presentations, community events, training, or other leadership commitments that require adjustments to clinical scheduling. The expectation is not that every week looks identical, but that clinical availability, community leadership, and market development are balanced while maintaining an average clinical capacity that supports approximately 15 services per week over time.
\n \nWhat Success Looks Like
\nSuccessful Market Leads don't simply provide excellent medicine. They create confidence around them. They:
\n- \n
- Are dependable and responsive without requiring frequent oversight. \n
- Follow through on commitments and communicate proactively when something changes. \n
- Keep families and internal teams informed. \n
- Maintain organized records, inventory, follow-up, and local operations. \n
- Balance personalized medicine with a consistent, scalable Loved experience. \n
- Take genuine ownership of referral relationships and community presence. \n
- Use shared systems consistently even while working independently. \n
- Know when to solve something locally and when to involve the broader team. \n
- Welcome feedback and collaboration. \n
- Understand that local autonomy exists within Loved's broader clinical, operational, and business structure. \n
- Help create an environment in which additional veterinarians can eventually succeed. \n
Who We're Looking For
\nYou may be a strong fit if you're a veterinarian who naturally combines clinical compassion, organization, initiative, and leadership. You enjoy independence but don't equate independence with working in isolation. You communicate proactively and appreciate having a team behind you.
\nYou're comfortable walking into a veterinary hospital and introducing yourself, developing a referral relationship, giving a short educational presentation, or representing Loved within your local veterinary community. You want influence and meaningful ownership of your market while appreciating that you don't have to independently build the infrastructure, marketing, staffing, systems, or business operations of your own practice.
\nMost importantly, you understand that leadership at Loved begins with reliability, follow-through, communication, and modeling the standards we expect from everyone else.
\n \nQualifications
\n- \n
- DVM or VMD degree \n
- 3+ years of clinical veterinary experience preferred \n
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage competing priorities \n
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills \n
- Leadership, outreach, or practice-development experience preferred \n
- Active veterinary license or ability to obtain one \n
- DEA registration appropriate to the market and position \n
- Valid driver's license and reliable SUV or equivalent vehicle \n
- Ability to safely assist with patient handling and transport \n
- End-of-life experience is valued but not required; comprehensive training is provided \n
Compensation & Benefits
\nLoved offers competitive compensation based on experience, market needs, and the responsibilities of the position.
\n- \n
- Travel or mileage support \n
- Veterinary licensing and professional-fee support \n
- Continuing education allowance \n
- CAETA and AAHA certification support \n
- Paid time off \n
- Professional liability coverage \n
- Dedicated Care Team and administrative support \n
- Ongoing clinical and leadership support \n
- Additional leadership and market-growth opportunities as the community develops \n
Lead with compassion. Build with purpose. Help Loved become part of the community.
