Position: CT Scan Technologist

Location: Hackensack, New Jersey

Schedule: Sunday–Thursday, 4:00 PM–12:30 AM

Hours: 40 hours/week

Contract End Date: January 2, 2027

Rate: $118/hour

About the Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled CT Scan Technologist for a contract opportunity in Hackensack, New Jersey.

The successful candidate will perform diagnostic CT procedures, prepare and position patients, administer contrast media, perform venipuncture and IV procedures, review images through PACS, and maintain accurate documentation.

This opportunity is suited to a CT Technologist who is comfortable working independently, understands CT protocols and equipment, and can provide high-quality patient care across different populations.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures and produce diagnostic sectional and 3D images.
• Prepare and position patients for CT examinations.
• Review patient history and prescriptions.
• Follow appropriate CT protocols.
• Coordinate with radiologists and referring physicians when clarification is required.
• Administer contrast media as prescribed.
• Perform venipuncture and maintain IV access.
• Monitor patients for adverse reactions.
• Review images using PACS for quality and diagnostic value.
• Coordinate outside studies and CDs for PACS availability.
• Provide patient instructions and address patient concerns.
• Maintain accurate documentation in EPIC/PACS.
• Support patient care across different age groups and populations.
• Participate in on-call, overtime, holiday, and weekend coverage when required.

Requirements

• CT Technologist experience.
• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program .
• High School Diploma/GED.
• NJ DEP Diagnostic Radiography License.
• ARRT R.T.(R) certification/license.
• AHA BLS certification.
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and radiological positioning.
• Strong knowledge of CT equipment, software, and procedures.
• Strong PACS knowledge.
• Ability to perform complex CT procedures.
• Experience with contrast administration, venipuncture, and IV procedures.
• Ability to review patient history, prescriptions, and CT protocols.
• Ability to work the required schedule and additional coverage when required.

Preferred Qualifications

• ARRT R.T.(CT) certification preferred.
• Minimum 6 months CT experience preferred.
• EPIC experience.
• HIS/RIS experience.
• Current required CEU credits.
• Candidates without ARRT CT certification are expected to obtain it within 12 months of hire.

• 4:00 PM–12:30 AM
• Friday & Saturday off
• 40 hours/week
• Regular rate: $118/hour
• Overtime: $141.60/hour
• Holiday: $141.60/hour
• Call-back: $177/hour
• On-call: $4/hour
