Requires broad knowledge of welding technology, working under minimal supervision. This position is located in McKinney, TX. Position involves standing up to 8-hours per day Use of hand, pneumatic and vibratory tools Use of machines with moving and cutting parts Push/pull can involve up to 75 lbs. Lift/carry can involve up to 35 lbs. May require repetitive wrist movement Must be able to read, write, and follow written and oral directions in English Must have excellent manual dexterity Must pass TIG Aluminum, 2 MIG Carbon Steel weld tests Ability to meet vision standards: including far-vision acuity of 20/40 or better, with or without corrective lenses, as verified through a qualified eye examinationJob Functions / ResponsibilitiesPerform aluminum welding operationsManufacture product that meets quality requirementsInspect and verify work prior to submitting for inspectionKeep equipment clean and maintain proper fluid levelsMake routine decisions and use problem-solving to resolve basic manufacturing issues or seek assistanceWelds on all types of metals and alloys in various sizes, shapes and on diversified assemblies, products, or structuresProduce welds subject to x-ray analysis, magnaflux inspection, dye check and/or gas tight pressure or other testsMust be able to withstand working in a non-climate controlled manufacturing environmentEducation / Experience1-3 years of aluminum welding experience on GTAW (TIG) and GMAW (MIG) preferred .
