How you'll make an impact in this role

• Assist physicians and nurses with patient examinations, treatments, and specialized clinical duties.
• Interview patients to record medical history and accurately measure vital signs for charting.
• Prepare and sanitize treatment rooms while ensuring all medical supplies are ordered and stocked.
• Manage essential clerical tasks, including phone correspondence, record maintenance, and filing.

What minimum requirements you'll need

• Licensure/Certification/Registration:
• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association OR American Red Cross accepted.
• Education:
• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
• Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.

What additional preferences we're seeking

1. Previous outpatient or specialty clinic experience preferred, preferably within Orthopedics or surgical specialties

2. Strong clinical skills including rooming patients, vital signs, medication reconciliation, casting/splinting assistance, and documentation within the electronic medical record

3. Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment

4. Demonstrates professionalism, accountability, and commitment to exceptional patient care consistent with Ascension values and mission.
