Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Acute Travel Respiratory Therapist to join our team. The successful candidate will provide essential respiratory care services in an acute care setting, ensuring patient health and comfort through skilled assessment and treatment.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer respiratory therapies and treatments as prescribed by medical staff.
• Monitor patient progress and response to therapy, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
• Maintain accurate records of patient care and therapy details.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to optimize patient outcomes.
• Demonstrate excellent communication skills with patients and families regarding therapy options and procedures.
• Participate in ongoing education and training to stay updated on best practices and new technologies in respiratory therapy.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in respiratory therapy, preferably in an acute care environment.
• Current and valid respiratory therapy licensure.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.

Work Schedule

This position involves night shifts, ensuring comprehensive coverage for patients in need of respiratory care.

Additional Information

Orientation for new hires is conducted weekly on Mondays. Candidates must be willing to travel and meet the necessary certification requirements as outlined in the LPNT checklist.
