About the Role:

The Nurse Auditor, Regulatory Reimbursement and Reporting is responsible for conducting clinical, revenue integrity, and compliance audits to ensure accurate charge capture, documentation integrity, coding compliance, and appropriate reimbursement across inpatient and outpatient services. This position operates in a primarily remote work environment and collaborates with multidisciplinary teams throughout the health system to identify compliance risks, improve charging practices, support audit readiness, and optimize reimbursement while maintaining regulatory compliance. The Nurse Auditor serves as a clinical resource for RRR initiatives and functions as a liaison between clinical operations, RRR, Health Information Management (HIM), Clinical Documentation Integrity (CDI), Coding, Pharmacy, Patient Financial Services (PFS), Information Technology, and departmental leadership. The position supports organizational goals related to revenue preservation, charge capture accuracy, regulatory compliance, audit defense, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities :

• Revenue Integrity and Clinical Auditing

• Compliance and Regulatory Oversight
\n
• Charge Description Master (CDM) Support
\n
• Education and Consultation
\n
• Data Analysis and Reporting
\n
• Work with the Recovery Audit Coordinators and departments throughout the organization to write appeals to protect the organization from retractions of cash
\n
• Build audit of specific cases to find additional revenue opportunities Collaboration and Special Projects

Requirements:

\n

Experience : 1-3 years, Minimum two (2) years of experience in one or more of the following areas preferred: Revenue Integrity, Clinical Auditing, Healthcare Compliance, Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI), HIM/Coding, Utilization Review, Case Management, Hospital Billing and Reimbursement

\n

Education: Nursing Degree

\n

Licenses and Certifications: Registered Nurse License - Current Maryland license or eligibility to obtain Maryland license American Heart Association Basic Life Support CPR

\n

Pay Range: $40.12 to $62.94 Based On Experience

\n

\n
