As a Security Guard - Retail Patrol in Aurora, CO , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer in a busy retail location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. In this role, you will support a welcoming environment through teamwork, integrity, and a caring approach while bringing an agile, reliable, and innovative mindset to every shift.

Pay Rate: $22.41 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, customers, and store personnel by following site-specific procedures, access guidelines, and security-related protocols throughout the retail location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with local leadership and/or emergency services when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the sales floor, entrances, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity and/or policy concerns.
• Monitor for theft-related behavior, trespassing, loitering, and other suspicious activity, and document observations and incidents according to Allied Universal and site expectations.
• Assist with emergency response activities, crowd management, and de-escalation support during busy store hours, special events, and/or closing procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
