DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position supports the daily operations of a Driver License Center by providing excellent customer service, verifying various documents, and processing a wide-range of applications. Through your work, you will help to ensure safe licensing practices and accurate recordkeeping for the public. As a Driver License Examiner Assistant, you will perform the following duties:

• Customer Assistance: Greet customers, provide forms, answer questions, and guide applicants through required steps
• Document Verification: Examine identity documents and confirm authenticity to prevent fraud and identity theft
• Testing Support: Administer standardized knowledge tests and conduct vision screenings for applicants
• Application Processing: Enter test results and application information into the online licensing systems
• Service Guidance: Explain licensing requirements, REAL ID rules, product options, and related policies to customers
• Center Operations: Maintain an organized workspace and support center needs including travel or overtime when required

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

• Full-time employment
• Work hours are 8:15 AM to 4:45 PM, Tuesday - Saturday, with a 30-minute lunch.
• Overtime and travel to other driver license centers may be required as necessary.
• Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
• Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

• One year of experience obtaining, evaluating, and providing information to the public.
