Not a videographer who waits for a shot list. Someone who walks our floor, knows what is worth filming, and turns it into a scroll‑stopping Reel the same day. ABOUT THE ROLE Guru Diam is a lab grown diamond manufacturer and wholesaler based in New York City. Loose goods, finished pieces, and custom jewelry, all under one roof. Every day on our floor there is something worth filming: parcels getting sorted, stones going under the loupe, orders getting packed, custom pieces coming off the CAD pipeline. Right now almost none of it makes it to camera. That is your job. You will own the page. Not one piece of the process, the whole thing: deciding what to shoot, shooting it, cutting it, writing the caption, and posting it. If you want a role where you can point at the account and say you built that, this is it. WHAT YOU WILL ACTUALLY BE DOING Shooting short‑form vertical video on the floor: sourcing, sorting, order fulfillment, day‑to‑day operations Editing in CapCut or Premiere: hooks, pacing, captions, sound selection Building and running a content calendar, not just reacting to whatever is happening that day Product-in-hand and team content for the page Writing captions and hooks that stop the scroll in the first two seconds Watching the numbers (saves, shares, watch time, follower growth) and adjusting what you make based on what actually performs Occasional content at trade shows and industry events WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR A portfolio of short‑form work (Reels, TikTok, Shorts). Send us your best 3, not your whole camera roll Comfortable shooting on a phone. This is not a cinema‑gear role An eye for what is interesting without being told shot‑by‑shot Fast turnaround. Shot in the morning, posted by afternoon Solid grasp of what is working on Instagram right now: formats, hooks, audio, pacing Organized enough to run a calendar and hit a posting cadence Based in or able to work from our New York office NICE TO HAVE Experience growing an account from a low follower count, yours or someone else’s Photography or product‑shot ability alongside video Some design comfort (Canva, Figma, or Photoshop) for carousels and graphics Any exposure to jewelry, fashion, luxury, or e‑commerce content Experience creating content for a B2B audience WHO WE ARE We are a small, young team (early to mid twenties) building in the diamond and jewelry trade. B2B, not retail. That means our audience is jewelers, designers, manufacturers, and retailers, not end consumers, and the content that works for us is not the same content that works for a DTC ring brand. Figuring that out is part of the fun. You will work directly with our director. No layers of approval, no committee killing your ideas. If you want to try something, you try it.
