Key Responsibilities

• Explain scanning procedures to patients, answer questions, review medical histories, and verify physician orders.
• Calibrate, warm up, and operate specialized CT scanning machinery while adhering to established safety protocols.
• Screen patients for contrast allergies and safely administer oral or intravenous (IV) contrast materials to highlight specific bodily tissues.
• Correctly position patients on the scanner table and apply precise radiation shielding techniques in accordance with ALARA principles.
• Review, analyze, and optimize digital image files for clarity and accuracy prior to submission to radiologists for diagnostic evaluation.
• Accurately maintain and update patient charts and procedural details within electronic health records and PACS systems.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of CT Technologist experience required.
• Active ARRT certification required.
• Ability to perform both CT and X-ray imaging procedures.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a fast-paced hospital or outpatient imaging environment.
• Familiarity with PACS systems and electronic health record documentation.
