About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Staff Augmentation Duration: 34 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (6:00 PM to 6:00 AM) Experience: Recent graduates and candidates with less than 1 year of experience in skilled nursing facility or long-term care are preferred. License: RN license in the state Certifications: CPR/BLS Card, Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card, Hepatitis B vaccination or declination, COVID vaccination or declination Must-Have: Knowledge of gerontological/geriatric nursing theory and practices Description: Schedule involves 12-hour night shifts. Resources may work varying hours each week, including 36 hours one week and 40 hours the next week. Administers medication and performs treatments on an assigned unit as ordered by the physician and within scope of license. Receives and delivers a variety of information regarding residents' medical, social, functional, and other needs. Participates in the receiving and giving of shift reports. Communicates with residents, family, and staff as necessary to ensure residents receive appropriate care. Performs initial admission nursing assessments on newly admitted residents. Assists with the development of Minimum Data Set assessments, ongoing quarterly reviews, and care plans. Maintains clinical and administrative documentation regarding diagnosis, assessments, treatments, and summaries of client progress. Leads and supervises subordinate staff while assisting with direct resident care for Activities of Daily Living (ADLs). Conducts and participates in in-service training and staff development programs. Utilizes problem-solving and process improvement concepts for continuous work efficiency. Adapts to various duties as assigned related to the nursing position. Applies knowledge of the aging process and observes changes in residents' conditions. Develops and executes patient care plans within a team nursing concept. Effectively communicates both orally and in writing. Builds interpersonal relationships with residents and staff.
