Start Date: November 2, 2026

Location: Wilmington, North Carolina

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12-hour day shifts, 36 or 48 hours per week. Contract length 13-26 weeks. Every other weekend required (12-16 weekend shifts per contract). Patient ratio 1:5-6. Floating required based on unit needs.

Highlights:

• Progressive Med/Surg unit with telemetry monitoring and diverse patient population including COVID isolation area
• Epic charting system with Pyxis medication dispensing
• Comprehensive 24-hour orientation with structured onboarding process
• Opportunity to develop advanced skills including wound vac management, dysrhythmia interpretation, IV insulin protocols, and chest tube management
• Experience with high-acuity patients including CVA, surgical drains, hemodialysis management, and respiratory support
• Up to 7 days of time off available during contract (must be pre-approved)

Requirements:

• Active North Carolina or Compact State RN license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Minimum 2 years of recent Medical-Surgical and Telemetry experience
• Must pass EKG competency testing prior to start date
• Experience with remote telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, and management of dysrhythmias
• Proficiency in central line blood draws, PICC line management, IV starts, and peripheral line care
• Competency with respiratory support including high flow nasal cannula, CPAP/BiPAP, and non-invasive airway management
• Experience with blood product administration, PCA pumps, heparin protocols, and wound care/wound vac
• Knowledge of isolation precautions and infection control practices
• First-time travelers accepted; local candidates welcome
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Ability to work during emergency situations including storm team/hurricane team assignments
