Manufacturing & Quality Engineering Intern

Eden Prairie, MN | Full-Time Paid Internship | Summer 2027 (12 Weeks)

Gain Hands-On Experience in Manufacturing and Quality

As a Manufacturing & Quality Engineering Intern, you'll work alongside experienced professionals supporting the production and quality of innovative electronic products. This internship provides exposure to manufacturing operations, quality systems, process improvement, data analysis, and problem-solving in a real-world engineering environment.

Depending on business needs and your interests, you'll have opportunities to contribute to projects supporting both manufacturing and quality functions. 

What You'll Do

• Assist with writing and updating standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Maintain and support manufacturing and quality documentation systems
• Collect, analyze, and report operational and quality data
• Participate in root cause investigations and corrective/preventive action activities (CAPA)
• Support receiving inspection, process control, and product verification activities
• Assist with identifying, documenting, and processing non-conforming products
• Perform visual inspections and measurement verification activities
• Support calibration of manufacturing, inspection, and measurement equipment
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, and quality teams on continuous improvement initiatives

What We're Looking For

• Currently pursuing a degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Quality Engineering, Operations, or a related technical field
• Completion of at least two semesters of undergraduate coursework prior to the internship start date
• Basic understanding of manufacturing or quality processes
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
• High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles is a plus
