About the Position

Job Title: Operating Room Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours (06:30 - 15:00) Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required License: Current nursing license Certifications: ACLS, BLS, CNOR, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC Must-Have: - Experience with craniotomy and burr hole procedures is required - Preferred experience in charge nursing - Experience with preferred charting system Description: The position is for a Registered Nurse in the Operating Room. Work schedule is Monday to Friday, with on-call and late days as required. The specialty areas include Neuro/Spine, Ortho/Trauma, and General/Robotics/Trauma. Candidates must have experience performing craniotomies and burr holes. The role will support a patient ratio of 1:1 during the day and night shifts. No local candidates will be accepted; travel candidates only. Drug screening is mandatory upon arrival, which includes marijuana testing. A positive result in the drug screen will result in automatic cancellation of the contract. Clinicians must be available to complete needed lab items in a timely manner. Experience with the preferred charting system is considered an asset, although not required. Successful candidates will possess strong surgical skills across various procedures. Interdisciplinary support includes Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, and others. Skills in trauma care are preferred, with experience in handling multiple injuries. Pre-approved time off may be arranged, depending on unit needs. Travel experience will be an advantage for candidates applying for this position.
