Applied AI/ML Vice President

Salary: $61,000 - 101,000 per year Requirements:

• We require a bachelors degree, or an MS or PhD, in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Mathematics, Operations Research, or Data Science.
• We need 5+ years of experience in machine learning and artificial intelligence engineering.
• We look for hands-on experience in applied AI/ML engineering, with a history of building and deploying business-critical ML models in production.
• We expect proficiency in Python for model development, experimentation, and integration with the OpenAI API.
• We require strong practical experience with ML frameworks, libraries, and APIs such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, AWS Bedrock, Transformers, LangChain, and LangGraph.
• We need experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, along with containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes, orchestration tools such as Airflow and FastAPI, and architectural design, implementation, and performance tuning.
• We require a solid grounding in statistics, machine learning fundamentals, and generative model architectures, including classification, regression, deep learning, and reinforcement learning.
• We expect expertise in large language models, including OpenAI, Anthropic, and Mistral, plus fine-tuning, prompt engineering, embeddings, and context windows.
• We look for strong collaboration skills and the ability to communicate complex ideas effectively across technical and non-technical audiences.
• Preferred: familiarity with the financial services industry.
• Preferred: experience designing and implementing Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines.
• Preferred: practical knowledge of Chain-of-Thought, Tree-of-Thought, and Graph-of-Thought prompting strategies.
• Preferred: familiarity with ethical AI practices, including bias mitigation, explainability, and escalation procedures for risky outputs.

• We partner with product managers, data scientists, ML engineers, and other stakeholders to clarify needs and translate them into solutions.
• We design, build, and deploy advanced AI/ML/GenAI solutions aligned to business goals.
• We architect and implement cloud-native MLOps and LLMOps pipelines, along with distributed AI/ML infrastructure across AWS, Azure, and GCP for scalable production deployment and monitoring.
• We lead the development and release of generative AI solutions such as LLMs, RAG, NLP, and AI agents, as well as classical ML models, to create innovative fintech products.
• We develop monitoring and management capabilities that improve the reliability and scalability of AI/ML systems.
• We create and maintain automated deployment pipelines to support scalability, dependability, and efficiency.
• We implement real-time monitoring to track model performance and ensure reliability.
• We communicate AI/ML capabilities, insights, and outcomes to both technical and business stakeholders.
• We build AI agents and chatbots.
• We stay current on emerging AI/ML research, apply cutting-edge methods, and use external APIs to extend functionality.
