Position Overview

Flexibility First Physical Therapy is actively seeking a dedicated and passionate full-time Physical Therapist to join our growing team. In this pivotal role, you will assist patients on their recovery journey, enabling them to regain mobility, improve their physical capabilities, and enhance their overall quality of life. As a Physical Therapist, you will implement various treatment methodologies, conduct assessments, and develop personalized care plans, all while collaborating closely with our skilled team of two physical therapists and one physical therapist assistant.

Work Environment

The position is a full-time opportunity, with a standard work schedule from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, ensuring that you have weekends free to recharge. This onsite position allows for direct patient interactions, enabling you to build strong relationships and witness the tangible results of your therapeutic interventions firsthand. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to determine patient needs and establish achievable goals.
• Administer therapies aimed at enhancing patients' range of motion and mobility while prioritizing functional outcomes.
• Maintain a manageable patient load, allowing for focused, one-on-one therapeutic sessions with each individual for optimal care.
• Develop and implement detailed treatment plans using a variety of evidence-based therapeutic techniques.
• Design personalized fitness and wellness programs to meet the unique needs of each patient.
• Proactively promote a healthy lifestyle by encouraging physical activity that improves strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination.
• Document each patient interaction and maintain accurate records of treatments and progress.
• Consistently evaluate patient progress and modify treatment plans as necessary, ensuring effective communication with patients and the healthcare team.
• Encourage and motivate patients throughout their treatment journey, supporting their rehabilitation goals.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide holistic care and address any patient concerns.

Patient Population / Client Focus

At Flexibility First Physical Therapy, our primary focus is on individuals recovering from orthopedic injuries and conditions. Many of our patients come to us with specific goals, from returning to their athletic activities to managing chronic pain effectively. Your role will be vital in supporting patients through individualized care, reducing their reliance on medications, and proposing non-surgical alternatives to treatment.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• Valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist in Virginia.
• A clean record with no board or disciplinary actions against your license.
• Demonstrated proficiency in manual therapy techniques.
• Experience in designing and implementing tailored exercise programs.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems, particularly WebPT.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience working as a Physical Therapist in an orthopedic outpatient setting is highly preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills that enable effective communication and rapport-building with patients and team members.
• Experience in using innovative techniques and tools to optimize treatment outcomes.

Compensation and Benefits
