Overview Job Description Senior Radiology Technologist, First Shift, Radiology Department. UC Health is hiring a full-time Senior Radiology Technologist for the radiology department for the first-shift at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. We are offering up to a $15,000 sign-on bonus! A Radiology Technologist will support the University of Cincinnati Medical Center’s Radiology Department and assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients through producing diagnostic radiographs of the human body using independent judgment to determine quality of radiographs and compliance with established protocols. Oversees and leads staff technologists while demonstrating leadership responsibility and decision-making skills for delivery of department, patient, and family needs. Ensures patient and staff safety by ensuring staff utilizes protection equipment, regulates time and intensity of exposure, and uses equipment correctly. Performs diagnostic procedures by reviewing patient history, communicating what will occur, and following all established protocols and safety measures. Reviews images for diagnostic acceptability and maintains appropriate record-keeping and quality control. Prepares and administers contrast media under physician direction, practices sterile techniques to prevent the spread of disease, and assists in administering emergency procedures as needed.
