Job Description:

The Registered Nurse in Neuro Interventional Radiology will be a part of the Stroke Team, providing specialized care in a dynamic and collaborative environment. The role requires ICU experience and involves the management of specialized equipment and patient care related to neuro and stroke interventions.

Responsibilities:

• Participate as a member of the Stroke Team with required ICU experience.
• Manage endotracheal ventilation, including basic management and understanding of ventilators.
• Care for tracheostomy patients, including ventilation through stoma.
• Administer vasoactive and sedation drips safely.
• Ensure safe use of paralytics and manage arterial lines setup and troubleshooting.
• Handle external ventricular drains including Camino ICP monitoring.
• Monitor and use external pacemakers and chest tubes.
• Use and monitor Swan/Cordis central line catheters.
• Perform recovery and monitoring of arterial puncture sites.

Requirements:

• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications are required.
• Completion of a nursing education program approved by a board of nursing; Registered Nurse (RN) - South Dakota Board of Nursing.
• Experience with EPIC charting system is required; Epic Cupid is preferred.
