Residential Architecture - Job Captain

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Architectural Job Captain to support the design and documentation of residential projects from concept through construction. This role is ideal for someone early in their architectural career who is eager to grow technical skills, gain exposure to all phases of design, and collaborate closely with Project Managers, Senior Designers, and Principals. Key Responsibilities Support the development of residential projects, including single family detached and multifamily communities Assist in the preparation of schematic, design development, and construction document packages Produce and coordinate construction drawings under the direction of Project Managers and Senior Designers Collaborate with internal teams and external consultants to ensure accurate and coordinated documentation Apply knowledge of building codes, zoning requirements, and company standards to project work Participate in project meetings and assist with tracking action items Support preparation of presentation materials, plans, and graphics Assist with redline corrections and document revisions Conduct site visits and assist with construction administration tasks as needed Maintain organized project files and documentation Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field 1-4 years of experience in an architectural office (residential experience preferred) Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD Basic understanding of residential construction methods and documentation practices Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple tasks Hand drawing / sketching skills a plus Preferred Skills Experience with production housing or residential community design Familiarity with California codes and permitting processes Working knowledge of SketchUp and Adobe Creative Suite Actively pursuing architectural licensure What We Offer Competitive salary and performance-based bonuses Onsite work environment (5 days/week) Opportunities for professional growth and advancement Collaborative and design-focused culture #J-18808-Ljbffr WHA | Architects .
