DC Materials Handler - Quality Assurance

Distribution Center JobPerform a wide variety of job functions associated with maintaining inventory integrity and improving efficiencies throughout the distribution center. Essential job functions include order adjustments (repicks), monitoring, researching, and resolving allocation issues in the Problem Resolution (Orders) program, performing inventory transfers and adjustments as needed, printing and applying location label requests, requesting repair and replacement of RF and Vocollect units, reviewing and researching various reports, researching inventory discrepancies and explaining large quantity on hand adjustments, performing all job functions associated with processing stray parts, researching and correcting item numbers and locations in the LogPro Quantity Correction program, auditing outbound parcels and inbound license plates daily and verifying results, performing daily audits and reconciling all items located in damage locations, performing all job functions associated with relabel and changeover projects which includes processing items in the "relabel" location, performing slotting jobs determined by the DC and the Slotting Task Force Leader, maintaining correct rule sets and assignments, helping maintain accurate dimensional data, ensuring the process of safe weight on beams, performing all job functions associated with Factory Stock Adjustments, Factory Stock Lifts, Final Sweeps and Recalls, performing daily cycle counts of select Freon item numbers, performing a monthly inventory of critical supply items, cycle counting each DC location at least once per trimester and performing a Return Department Verification each quarter, assisting in maintaining ship percentage with on hand and DC shrink goals, keeping all work areas neat and clean, including cleanup of any spills that occur while performing job duties, maintaining safety standards while operating and identifying unsafe practices and situations, team members with experience may be designated as trainers, taking ownership of the DC target training program ensuring that all training is conducted according to schedule, and that all documentation is complete, explaining specific job duties/functions to help ensure success of new team members, as well as to convey any departmental or procedural changes to existing team members, all other duties as assigned.Skills/Education/Experience Required: Basic computer skills, strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, ability to read and match numerical and alphabetical characters quickly and accurately. Desired: High school diploma or equivalent (GED), familiarity with auto parts and knowledge of the automotive warehouse and/or store industry, working knowledge of the WMS operation systems and DC operations, advanced computer skills, mechanical equipment certification, fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired).O'Reilly Auto Parts has a proven track record of growth and stability.
