Radiologic Technology Practice Lab Supervisor, Adjunct Faculty
The part-time x-ray practice lab supervisor shall perform duties and responsibilities in collaboration with the Program Chair and Clinical Coordinator to manage student scheduling and access to open practice lab sessions of first year radio logic technology students. The position will oversee scheduling of lab practice sessions, manage student and equipment safety and cleanliness in the labs.
Compensation is $43.80 - $53.78 per hour. Individuals newly hired to Adjunct Professor group at the college are placed at the minimum rate per union bargaining agreement. Certain positions may also be eligible for assignment/project-based additional compensation, including a High Demand Stipend up to $8,350 annually, prorated based on the discipline and duration of the assignment. All additional compensations are subject to change depending on funding and negotiated agreement.

In addition to teaching, faculty maintains office hours and may participate in department and college activities. This position is represented by the Bellevue College Association of Higher Education (BCAHE) union.

The Radiologic technology program is an eight quarter AAS program educating students to launch their careers as imaging professionals. Radiologic technology is a rewarding healthcare field that combines interpersonal and technology skills in the diagnosis and treatment of pathologies. Bellevue College's Radiologic Technology Program has an esteemed reputation throughout the imaging community as a provider of skilled, professional and compassionate RT's consistently meeting workforce needs.
Essential Functions
- Supervise first-year students during practice sessions in the Radiologic Technology Labs (T214).
- Open and secure laboratory spaces at the beginning and end of scheduled sessions.
- Ensure student compliance with safety protocols and maintain equipment safety standards.
- Clean and disinfect lab equipment using approved antibacterial solutions before and after each lab session.
- Maintain, charge, and update laboratory laptop computers on a regular basis.
- Report equipment malfunctions promptly to the Program Director and Clinical Coordinator.
- Monitor and coordinate student laboratory schedules.
- Provide access to and oversee external equipment repair personnel as needed.
- Support the Clinical Coordinator, Program Chair, and Program Manager with program-related tasks and operations.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Demonstrated basic computer proficiency, including experience using MS Office and/or Google Docs.
- Proven record of dependability through prior work or volunteer experience.
- Demonstrated strong work ethic, including consistent attendance and punctuality.
- Experience in intercultural communication or successful completion of CMST 252.
- Work or academic experience reflecting the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within cross-functional teams to solve problems creatively.
- Minimum of one (1) year of customer service experience.
- Demonstrated interest in radiologic technology.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience is coordinating schedules.
- Professional development activities and/or academic background in working with adult learners.
- ARRT Certification.
