Linux Systems Engineer

Salary: $95,000 - 139,700 per year Requirements:

• We require U.S. citizenship and an active U.S. Government security clearance; candidates who do not currently hold the needed clearance are not eligible for consideration.
• We require the ability to obtain a CI polygraph.
• We prefer a bachelors degree in network engineering, information systems, computer engineering, or a related technical discipline, though relevant professional experience may be accepted in place of a degree.
• We require at least 3 years of experience in technical areas such as Linux-focused system administration or systems engineering, DevOps infrastructure support, LAN/WAN build, operations, and sustainment, implementation of DoD cybersecurity requirements, and work with physical compute and networking hardware.
• We require demonstrated experience troubleshooting complex issues and evaluating alternatives to resolve them.
• We value additional experience in InfiniBand networks and configuration, Juniper network and security platforms, and 5 or more years of experience in the areas above.

• We install, configure, and sustain Linux operating systems, application software, and system management tools.
• We help design and provision the enterprise network environment.
• We prepare and deliver program-level and user-level documentation for system operations.
• We provide technical systems support for project activities.
• We monitor performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
• We collaborate with technical team leads and other specialists.
• We assess current systems, subsystems, and component specifications and recommend improvements to support efficient development.
