Restaurant General Manager – Upscale Casual Dining Do you know how to turn a busy restaurant into a place guests genuinely want to return to? The role McCalls' Catering and Events is looking for a Restaurant General Manager – Upscale Casual Dining to lead an exciting new San Francisco venture. This is a hands‑on leadership role where you will be at the heart of the operation. From supporting your team during a busy service to keeping an eye on costs, quality, and guest satisfaction, you will help create a restaurant people enjoy working in and visiting. Key Responsibilities Lead day-to-day front- and back-of-house operations Create a warm, professional experience for every guest Support, coach, and motivate restaurant team members Manage staffing, schedules, and shift organization Handle guest feedback and resolve issues quickly Monitor food, beverage, and service quality Manage operational costs and reduce unnecessary waste Oversee inventory needs and vendor relationships Maintain food safety, sanitation, and workplace standards Prepare revenue and expense reports Support local events, marketing, and social media activity About our company McCall’s Catering and Events is one of San Francisco’s well‑known catering businesses, with seven culinary‑focused cafés across the city. The person You will ideally have: 3–5 years of restaurant management experience Strong front- and back-of-house knowledge Excellent food and beverage knowledge Confident leadership and people‑management skills Strong organization, communication, and financial skills Experience with Square, Toast, OpenTable, or similar systems Food Handler and ABC certifications Good knowledge of food health and safety regulations A degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or culinary education is a plus.
