Project Manager - Electronic Security, Fire & Life Safety Systems Reports To: Director of Operations FLSA Status: Full-Time, Salary/Exempt Hours: Office Hours are M-F (8am-5pm); Working Hours may vary Job Summary The Project Manager will oversee and manage multiple electronic security, fire, and life safety projects from initiation to completion, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electronic security, fire, and life safety and a proven track record of successfully managing projects in this field. Key Responsibilities Develop project scopes, timelines, and task breakdowns; delegate assignments and schedule technicians and subcontractors for timely, resource-efficient execution. Manage and lead technicians, fostering accountability and performance to complete projects on time, on budget, and to specification. Own project financials: estimate costs, build and manage budgets, and monitor expenses/revenue to protect profitability. Identify and assess project risks, recommend mitigation strategies (including escalation or termination when warranted), and report findings to management. Maintain project documentation (schedules, budgets, change orders, close-out records) and report status and milestones to stakeholders. Conduct site visits, inspections, and quality assurance checks to confirm work meets specifications, safety standards, and regulatory/code requirements. Serve as the primary point of contact and liaison among clients, vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams, addressing questions and concerns throughout the project lifecycle. Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to support training and promotion of new projects, programs, and systems. Stay current on industry trends, technological advancements, and code requirements in electronic security systems. Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, local, contractual, and company standards. Perform other related duties as assigned. Proficient with Google Suite or related software. Alignment with EOS (Entrepreneurial Operating System) framework and principles. Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in related fields, which may include Computer Science, Business, Electrical, or Engineering, preferred. At least three years of related industry experience required. A combination of experience and education may be accepted. CSPM, PMP, PgMP, CAPM, and/or comparable project management certifications highly desirable. Other Requirements Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times. Pass drug test and background check. Must possess a valid North Carolina Driver License.
