Registered Nurse (RN) - Day Shift

Location: Southeast Ohio

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Day Shift: 3x12 hours

Job Description: The Registered Nurse (RN) maintains the delivery of quality care by assuring the nursing care plan is followed while supervising Licensed Practical Nurses and Certified Nursing Assistants. Responsibilities

• Conduct nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission to develop individualized care plans.
• Identify teaching needs and goals related to patient diagnoses in collaboration with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team.
• Provide timely patient information for care conferences and ensure accurate documentation of assessments and interventions.
• Participate in patient rehabilitation programs and provide direct patient care while focusing on education.
• Initiate discharge planning from the day of admission and begin patient teaching in anticipation of discharge.
• Communicate changes in patient status to support continuity of care and seek consults from senior nursing staff for complex situations.
• Supervise and train ancillary nursing personnel while promoting a safe and efficient work environment.
• Maintain communication with management regarding service needs and assure personal and environmental safety.
• Assume charge responsibilities as required and actively pursue professional growth.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• BLS Certification Required prior to First Shift.
• ACLS Required prior to First Shift (for CIRH position only).
• Minimum of two years of bedside clinical experience is highly desired.
