This is a traveling position, supporting projects across the 34+ states where we operate. If you're committed to quality craftsmanship and take pride in building great things with a great team—let's talk Zernco.What You'll Do:Construct, install, and repair commercial structures including doors, floors, walls, windows, cabinetry, roofs, stairways, and kitchen equipmentPerform both rough and finish carpentry on commercial job sitesInstall drywall, insulation, tile, trim, siding, and other materials according to job specificationsSafely operate and maintain tools and equipment including saws, drills, planers, joiners, sanders, and other power/hand toolsInstall locks, knobs, hinges, closures, and other door and window hardwareInspect and ensure all work meets building codes and Zernco's quality standardsBuild and dismantle forms for concrete pours; erect and disassemble scaffolding, traffic barricades, ramps, and other temporary structuresMaintain a clean, safe, and organized worksite daily—housekeeping is a shared team priorityLoad, unload, and identify building materials, delivering to appropriate work locations as directedAttend and actively participate in weekly safety meetingsPerform work in compliance with all OSHA standards and jobsite safety protocolsReport safety concerns or hazards to your Superintendent immediatelyTravel to job sites nationwide; Zernco commits to getting traveling team members home twice per month whenever possibleWhat Success Looks Like:Projects are completed safely, with high quality, and on scheduleYou consistently follow safety protocols and contribute to a culture of jobsite safetyWork is clean, detailed, and aligned with project expectations and construction codesYou are a team player who communicates well with your Superintendent and fellow crew membersYou remain productive and adaptable on new jobsites and in changing environmentsYou keep tools and materials maintained and work areas cleanYou represent Zernco's values of integrity, ownership, and doing the right thing—alwaysWhat We're Looking For:Willingness to travel nationwide up to 100%1–3 years of commercial carpentry experience (or equivalent training)OSHA 10 (or ability to complete within 60 days)Valid driver's licensePreferred: Forklift, bobcat, or lift certifications; CPR/First Aid certifiedFamiliarity with commercial building codes, construction methods, and safety standardsPhysically capable of manually digging, dragging, pushing, pulling various materials and objects up to 50lbsBenefits:Affordable Employee Health Insurance Benefits with employee coverage available for as little as $10 per month.
