The role develops and executes tactical and operational quality plans aligned with enterprise quality strategy and business priorities. This position manages quality engineers, inspectors, or analysts and serves as a key advisor to leadership on quality risks, compliance status, and improvement opportunities. The role typically reports to a Quality Director, Operations Leader, or equivalentsenior role.Key Responsibilities Quality Management & Governance Lead development and execution of quality plans, policies, and proceduresEnsure adherence to quality management systems, standards, and customer requirementsMaintain effective document control, audits, and governance practicesCompliance & Risk Management Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory, industry, and customer quality standardsIdentify quality risks and implement corrective and preventive actionsSupport internal and external audits, certifications, and regulatory inspectionsProduct & Process Quality Oversee quality assurance and control activities across products and processesLead root cause analysis and resolution of quality issues and nonconformancesPartner with Operations and Engineering to improve process capability and product performanceContinuous Improvement & Quality Performance Drive moderate to significant improvements in quality performance and defect reductionSupport Lean, Six Sigma, or similar continuous improvement initiativesTrack and analyze quality KPIs such as defects, scrap, customer complaints, and costs of qualityCross‑Functional Partnership Partner with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Engineering, and Customer teams to support business objectivesSupport new product introductions, changes, and transfers from a quality perspective Influence alignment on quality priorities and improvement actionsPeople Leadership & Talent Management Manage and develop quality staff through coaching, performance management, and development planningEstablish staffing and capability plans to meet quality and compliance demands Provide input and authority for hiring, promotion, and reward decisions in alignment with company guidelinesCustomer & Stakeholder Interface Represent the quality function in customer interactions and issue resolutionCommunicate quality performance, risks, and improvement plans to leadershipSupport customer audits and respond to quality-related inquiriesQualifications Education & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or related field required Master’s degree orprofessional certification (CQE, Six Sigma Black Belt) preferredTypically 7 or more years of progressive experience in quality, manufacturing, or operations rolesPrior people management or quality leadership experience required Knowledge,Skills & AbilitiesStrongknowledge of quality management systems, compliance, and continuous improvement toolsExperience
