Small, fast-moving team based in North Hollywood, CA, operating fully remote. The promise to clients is revenue, not traffic, clicks, or vanity metrics. The hooks in the video scripts, the ad copy, the VSL, the landing page under it, the email and SMS that follow the lead after they opt in. One person carries the message from the first three seconds of attention through to the point where somebody buys. Right now our CEO writes most of the copy. That is the problem this hire solves, and it means you inherit real ownership on day one rather than a queue of edits. You will write for roughly 8 to 10 brands across med spa, hospitality, real estate, and home services. Different owners, different price points, different buyers. You will be switching voices several times a day and none of them should sound like the others. The short form video scripts are the piece we screen hardest. Most copywriters who can write a good landing page cannot write three seconds of scroll-stopping hook, and the reverse is also true. We need both, and we will ask you to prove the script side first. First 30 days Know every active client's voice, offer, and audience well enough to draft without a briefing call Producing short form scripts and ad copy at full volume with light edits Turned around your first full campaign: script, ad, landing page, and the email and SMS behind it First 60 days Writing across every format at a quality that needs review rather than rewriting Shipped a VSL or a long-form sales page that is live and taking traffic Feeding the media buyer enough angles and hook variants that testing never stalls waiting on copy First 90 days Owning marketing copy for the full client book with light oversight Copy you wrote has moved a real number, and you can point to which piece did it and why A working template and swipe library that the rest of the team pulls from Conversion rate on the pages and sequences you write; hook and ad performance against the control; volume shipped on schedule; email and SMS engagement and revenue attributed; rewrite rate on first drafts. Key Responsibilities: Short form video scripts Write the scripts behind reels, shorts, and vertical ads: hook, body, payoff, call to action Write hooks that earn the first three seconds, and multiple hook variants per concept so the media buyer has something to test Write for the format. A script that reads well on paper and dies on camera is a failed script Write to the creator or the client owner delivering it, in their voice, not yours Ad scripts and ad copy Ad scripts, angles, and primary text across Meta and Google Multiple angles per offer, built to be tested against each other rather than picked by taste Rework what is fatiguing based on what the performance data says, not on what you liked writing VSLs and long-form sales copy Write VSLs end to end: lead, problem agitation, mechanism, proof, offer, close Handle objections inside the copy instead of hoping the sales call catches them Adapt the same core argument to different lengths and different levels of audience awareness Landing pages Write landing page and funnel copy that matches the ad that sent the visitor there Headlines, subheads, body, proof sections, form and button copy Give the designer a clear read on hierarchy and what each section has to do Email and SMS Promotional campaigns, launch and event sequences, nurture, reactivation, win-back SMS that reads like a person texting and still moves someone to act, inside the character limit Sequence logic, not just isolated sends: what fires when, and what each message is for Self-QA Proof your own work. Offer details, dates, prices, and DISCLAIMERS?? Check your copy against the brief and the brand voice file before you call it done Keep a swipe and template library so the good stuff gets reused instead of rewritten Desired Experience & Requirements: Short form video scripts are a hard requirement. You have written scripts that got produced and ran. Bring them. This is the first thing we look at and a portfolio without them does not move forward. 2+ years writing direct response copy, ideally agency side across several clients at once. One in-house brand is a different job. VSL experience. You have written at least one long-form video sales letter from start to finish and you can walk us through why it was built the way it was. Ads, landing pages, email, and SMS. You have shipped all four, and you understand how they connect rather than treating them as separate assets. Voice switching. A med spa, a boutique hotel, and a roofing company in the same week, and none of them sound like you. You write to a number. Conversion rate, cost per lead, click through, booked appointments. You have seen your copy tested and you have been wrong before and fixed it. AI-native. You use AI daily to move faster, and you know the difference between using it as a drafting tool and passing raw output off as finished work. We can tell. Native or near-native written English. You are writing customer-facing copy in English all day. Able to work 9am to 5pm PST, US-based, sole full-time commitment.
