Job Description
All Saints Episcopal School seeks an Early Learning (Pre-School, Pre-Kindergarten, Kindergarten) Teaching Assistant to support the Lead Teacher and collaborate to deliver the strongest education and experience possible for students in the classroom. While maintaining a meaningful support role in the classroom, the Assistant is expected to contribute to a positive, cohesive team and nurture and inspire curious, confident, joyful learners.
Preferred qualifications:
● Bachelor’s degree from an accredited College or university
● Previous classroom or student teaching experience
● Ability to be an innovative, collaborative, and positive member of the school community ● Friendly, sociable, and welcoming personality Responsibilities include:
● Providing instructional assistance to individual students or small groups
● Substituting for the Lead Teacher as needed
● Helping to facilitate classroom routines and non-academic periods of the day
● Encouraging a positive classroom community
● Establish a strong rapport and a sense of authority with the students
● Defer to the Lead Teacher for all parent interactions involving the academic or social progress of a student
● Expected attendance at professional development training activities, in-service days, and faculty meetings
