We are looking for a Property Manager to oversee daily operations for an affordable housing community in Vero Beach, Florida. This is a Long-term Contract opportunity for a detail-oriented candidate who can balance resident relations, leasing activity, and administrative oversight while keeping occupancy and compliance on track. The ideal candidate brings hands-on property management experience, sound judgment, and the confidence to manage conversations, paperwork, and deadlines in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities:

• Direct the day-to-day management of over an 100-unit residential property, ensuring smooth operations and responsive service for residents.

• Coordinate leasing efforts by showing available units, guiding prospective tenants through the application process, and supporting timely move-ins.

• Review applications, verify documentation, complete eligibility calculations, and prepare lease and renewal paperwork with accuracy.

• Collect rent, security deposits, and other resident payments while maintaining organized financial records and using the check scanning process appropriately.

• Work with insurance-related matters and support proper documentation and follow-up when property or resident issues arise.

• Maintain accurate tenant and property data within Yardi and learn internal workflows and reporting procedures as part of onboarding.

• Partner with the assistant and other stakeholders to keep unit turnover, occupancy goals, and resident communication moving efficiently.

• Accommodate occasional after-hours or weekend appointments, including periodic weekend coverage based on property needs and resident expectations.

• At least 2 years of experience in property management, with exposure to residential or affordable housing environments preferred.
• Prior management or supervisory experience with the ability to take ownership of property operations and resident-facing issues.
• Working knowledge of leasing, renewals, rent collection, deposits, and tenant file administration.
• Familiarity with Yardi or comparable property management software, with willingness to build proficiency through training.
• Ability to pass a credit check as part of the hiring process.
• Strong communication skills with an assertive, detail-oriented approach to handling residents, applicants, and operational challenges.
• Resilience and maturity to accept feedback constructively and remain effective in a busy service-oriented setting.
