Job Description – Cook (Kitchen Team Member)
Taziki's Café is a fast-casual restaurant brand with more than 90 locations in 17 states. YOUR ROLE
Being on the Taziki’s Kitchen Team means you take pride in preparing fresh, high quality food every day. You understand that every plate matters and that consistency, speed, and attention to detail are key to delivering a great guest experience.

It means you show up ready to work, follow recipes, and execute at a high level during busy rushes. It also means you communicate well with your team, stay organized, and take ownership of your station to help create a clean, efficient kitchen.

A DAY IN YOUR TAZIKI’S LIFE
Your day starts with prep. You clock in, check your station, grab your prep list, and get to work. You might be chopping vegetables, marinating proteins, or prepping sauces, everything fresh, everything from scratch.

Before service, you and your team set up the line and make sure everything is stocked and ready. Once the rush hits, it’s go time. You’re cooking, assembling, and plating meals with urgency and precision, making sure every order meets Taziki’s standards.

You’ll work different stations like grill, salad, roll up, or expo, depending on the shift. Communication is key, you’re calling out items, supporting your team, and keeping the flow moving.

Between rushes, you restock, clean, and prep for the next push. As the shift winds down, you clean your station, complete side work, and set the next team up for success.

Then you head out knowing you helped serve great food to a lot of people that day.

YOUR ACTIVITIES

• Preparing fresh food items daily following recipes and portion standards
• Cooking and assembling menu items accurately and efficiently
• Setting up and stocking stations with all necessary ingredients and supplies
• Working multiple kitchen stations (grill, salad, roll-up, expo)
• Managing orders during high-volume rushes with speed and accuracy
• Maintaining proper food handling, storage, and minimizing waste
• Keeping a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen at all times
• Assisting with catering order preparation
• Performing opening and closing side work
• Maintaining proper hygiene, uniform, and appearance
• Following all Health Department and food safety standards
• Completing training and certifications through our online platform
• Understanding and following all company standards and policies

YOUR WORKING CONDITIONS/HOURS
Hours will vary and may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.

Weekends Required.

YOUR PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Being part of the Taziki’s Kitchen Team requires standing for long periods and working quickly in a fast-paced environment. This role includes reaching, bending, lifting, and carrying items, as well as working with kitchen equipment such as grills, ovens, and knives.
