Please note: a resume is required for this positionPay Rate: $22.00 an hourSUMMARY: Coordinate, set-up and execute promotions and special events. Responsible for a high level of guest service as described in your department's guest service standards. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESCoordinate, set-up and execute promotions and special events on and off propertyCoordinate with operational departments in the development of programs and special events, including advertising supportInteract with guests and staff during promotions, drawings and eventsTrack, monitor and report on winners, prize distribution and guest countsOrganize and complete inventory of marketing storage areasAssist vendors with outside sponsorships, co-ops and other promotionsDrive attendants to off-site eventsKNOWLEDGE AND CERTIFICATION, SKILLS AND ABILITIESKnowledge and CertificationRequired:High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experiencePreferred:1 year Marketing experienceSkillsRequired:Accurate and detail-orientedHighly organized and the ability to adapt quickly to changing prioritiesBasic computer skills Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) and WindowsExcellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skillsExcellent problem solving skillsAbilitiesRequired:Ability to work fast and efficientlyAbility to follow established dress code policies and practice good personal hygieneAbility to interact with guests, coworkers and management in a professional and courteous mannerAbility to independently complete multiple tasks in a professional mannerAbility to serve both internal and external customersAbility to manage projects in a timely and efficient mannerAbility to speak in a clear, concise and pleasant voice in front of large crowds using a public address systemREQUIRED TRAININGTreasure Island guest service trainingTIPS training and certificationAny position-related training as determined by department managerPHYSICAL DEMANDS Must be able to walk and / or stand for periods of up to 8 hoursMust have a good sense of balance, and be able to bend and kneelMust be able to reach and twist occasionallyMust be able to push, pull and grasp objects occasionallyMust be able to climb an 8 foot ladderMust have the ability to independently lift 25+ pounds routinelyMust be able to perform repetitive hand and wrist motionsMust have good eye hand coordinationWORKING ENVIRONMENTWork is performed on the gaming floor, which includes flashing lights, frequent loud noises and cigarette smoke and outdoors for guest eventsMust be able to work in cramped, tight quartersMust be willing to work a flexible schedule including all shifts, weekends and holidaysOccasionally overtime may be requiredOccasionally must deal with angry or hostile individualsHigh volume direct public contact
