Neurologist

Administrator Of NeurologyThe Administrator of Neurology would serve as a key administrative leader for the development and advancement of the Department of Neurology. The administrator will work collaboratively with members of the leadership team to drive the institution's growth, innovation, and transformation initiatives for these key department/programs. The administrator has primary responsibility to advance the Department of Neurology to with multi-divisional, inter-departmental excellence in research, education and clinical (hospital and school of medicine) activities. This person will report directly to the Chief Administrative Officer. This position will support the Chairs in achieving clinical operations and financial goals and is responsible for leading administrative, operational, and business functions of the Department, which includes the clinical, research, and educational goals. Oversees management of affiliate negotiations, agreements, discretionary accounts and cost centers with managers and operational solutions to budgetary issues. Knowledge of departmental compliance with regulatory agency requirements. Responsible for the continual planning, updating, and implementation of the strategic priorities of the service line. Performs budgetary and financial analyses as required to maintain fiscal control and explore program optimization opportunities.Qualifications:Masters degree in business, health care administration, or related field, with five to seven years progressively responsible experience requiredPrevious experience in an academic medical center preferred; previous experience in a complex health care setting requiredKnowledge of hospital and university finance and administration preferredKnowledge of administering a physician practice plan preferredKnowledge of managed careKnowledge of Maryland reimbursement systemSalary Range: $170,000 to $215,000 per year. Position incentive eligible.
