Work Environment This remote position allows you to work from home while remaining an integral member of our outpatient team. With a work schedule from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and occasionally requiring evening shifts based on patient needs, you will have flexibility in your work-life balance. Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments, paying careful attention to how medical conditions affect patients' mental health. Collaborate with the medical team to develop integrated treatment plans that address psychiatric and medical needs together. Deliver tailored individual and group therapy sessions using evidence-based therapeutic methods, adapting approaches according to patient circumstances. Provide crisis intervention for patients in need, ensuring immediate and effective support during critical situations. Offer educational support to patients, helping them understand the relationship between their mental health and physical health, thus empowering them in their recovery journey. Maintain thorough and confidential documentation of patient interactions and treatment in compliance with all relevant legal and ethical regulations. Participate actively in team meetings and interdisciplinary conferences to discuss case progress and treatment strategies. Stay current with developments in integrated care practices, applying up-to-date knowledge to enhance service delivery. Patient Population / Client Focus Our clinic serves a diverse array of patients coping with complex medical and psychiatric conditions, including chronic pain, autoimmune disorders, and substance use issues. As a Mental Health Therapist at Prestige Family Healthcare Clinic, you will provide care to patients navigating both mental and physical health challenges, working toward their full well-being and recovery. Qualifications A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution. Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in the state of New York. Proven experience in addressing the mental health needs of individuals with co-occurring medical conditions. Effective communication and interpersonal skills that foster positive relationships with patients and team members. Ability to maintain professional boundaries and adhere to strict ethical guidelines. Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems to ensure consistent documentation and tracking of patient care. A collaborative spirit and a commitment to working within an interdisciplinary team framework. Preferred Experience At least one year of experience in a clinical mental health setting, particularly with patients who have complex medical histories. Previous involvement in integrated care initiatives and a strong understanding of collaborative treatment planning. Experience with teletherapy platforms is a plus, as our practice utilizes these technologies for effective patient communication. Compensation and Benefits We offer a competitive salary range of USD 75,000 to 100,000 per year, commensurate with experience, alongside a robust benefits package.
