Description As a Part‑Time Retail Associate at Fringe Sport Inc, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operations of our showroom. You will provide exceptional customer service, assist customers in their fitness equipment selections, and maintain a high level of product knowledge, particularly in CrossFit, weightlifting, and related disciplines. Additionally, you will support the local sales manager, handle customer sales orders in Shopify, and create Facebook Marketplace Ads to generate leads into our retail store and showroom. As a frontline employee with customers, you will have a deep understanding of what customers want, need, and are looking for, which will be critical when communicating in‑person and via Facebook Marketplace. Key Responsibilities Showroom Management Welcome and greet customers as they enter the showroom. Provide expert advice and information on fitness equipment. Assist customers in selecting the right fitness equipment based on their needs and goals. Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing showroom. Facebook Marketplace Management Post pics and product videos to Facebook Marketplace to showcase Fringe Sport products. Respond to comments and DMs via FB Messenger. Drive customers to the retail center and achieve sales quota targets. Engagement Build rapport with customers and establish long‑lasting relationships. Address customer inquiries, concerns, and product‑related questions. Promote additional products and accessories to enhance the customer's fitness experience. Assist the sales manager in inventory management, order processing, and sales reporting. Collaborate with the sales team to achieve sales targets and goals. Participate in regular product training sessions to stay updated on the latest fitness trends and equipment. Light social media and marketing work to increase showroom traffic and local business (e.g., FB, Craigslist, IG, and OfferUp). Shopify Order Processing Process customer orders efficiently and accurately in Shopify. Ensure orders are fulfilled promptly and customers are informed of order status. Handle returns, exchanges, and warranty claims as needed. Warehouse Responsibilities Pick orders for retail walk‑ins and local pickups. Assist in warehouse order and shipping processes when needed. Maintain excellent communication with the distribution center team to load sales orders into customer vehicles. Handle lifting of 50‑150 lbs to waist level. Qualifications Previous retail or customer service experience preferred. Understand the importance of achieving monthly sales quotas and goals. Achieving targets will generate more commission for you. Knowledge and passion for fitness, including CrossFit, weightlifting, and related activities. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team‑oriented environment. Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Holidays and sales as needed. Retail hours are 12 pm – 6 pm CST, seven days a week. Flexibility needed for all candidates. For example, every few months we have a garage sale event that is “All Hands on Deck,” requiring work from Friday through Sunday.
