Senior Data Engineer

We are supporting our client on a search for a Senior Data Engineer who will be the technical owner of a modern data platform. This is a high-trust seat reporting to the head of data with real budget, real ownership, and a small team to build out.

You will work hybrid out of a great Seattle office three days per week. We are open to senior data engineers, analytics engineers ready to step up the stack, and platform engineers who want to specialize in data.

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable batch and streaming data pipelines
• Own the modern data stack including Snowflake, dbt, Airflow, and Fivetran
• Partner with analytics, product, and engineering on data modeling and warehouse design
• Establish data quality, lineage, and observability standards
• Mentor analysts and junior engineers across the company
• Build self-serve tooling and documentation for the data team
• Lead architecture reviews and platform investments
• Support compliance and privacy requirements across the data stack

Requirements

• 5 plus years of data engineering experience in production environments
• Strong SQL and Python skills
• Hands-on experience with dbt and at least one cloud warehouse (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift)
• Experience designing batch and streaming pipelines with Airflow, Dagster, or similar
• Hybrid presence in the Seattle office three days per week
• Bachelors degree in CS, math, engineering, or equivalent experience
