Job Requirements:

• RT (R),(CT), (ARRT), and BLS certifications.
• Must have the ability to function as a CT Technologist in performing examinations of patients of all ages
• Demonstrates competency in PACS process and performs daily QA process.
• Effective communication skills and excellent patient care skills required.
• Functions proficiently with all technical equipment in diagnostic modality.
• Properly uses radiation protection and shielding material to ensure compliance with federal and state guidelines.
• Must be up to date on all vaccinations as required for hospital employment and pass any needed health screenings, including drug screening and background check.

Job Responsibilities:

• Knowledge of proper use and maintenance of CT equipment.
• CT examinations and procedures that require the use of contrast agents.
• Ability to manage patients during complex CT procedure exams.
• Able to follow oral and written instructions and communicate effectively with patients, visitors, and employees within the organization.
• Scans in and labels documents appropriately, resolves QA issues promptly, and ensures images are released to radiologists promptly.
• Follows all radiation protection and dose reporting policies and processes.
• Assist other technologists when necessary to maintain productivity.
• Assist radiologist with imaging procedures, starting IVs, and injecting contrast, if applicable.

Physical Effort:

• Must be capable of lifting 50-100 lbs, including patient lifting, positioning aids, portable ultrasound machines, and assisting with minor patient movements. Requires physical flexibility to bend, reach, twist, and adjust equipment or patients as needed.
• Requires prolonged standing or walking while performing scans, moving between patients, and positioning equipment. Physical endurance is essential to complete multiple consecutive scans.
