The company offers opportunities to build technical expertise in diesel and heavy equipment maintenance in a hands-on, team-oriented environment.Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Diesel Mechanic role based in Flagstaff, AZ. The Diesel Mechanic will perform diagnostics, repairs, and scheduled service on diesel engines, towing trucks, and related heavy equipment. Daily responsibilities include inspecting vehicles, troubleshooting mechanical issues, completing preventive maintenance, and documenting all work performed in accordance with company and safety standards. The role also involves collaborating with drivers and dispatch to minimize downtime, ordering or installing parts as needed, and keeping tools, work areas, and maintenance records organized. The Diesel Mechanic will help ensure that all tow trucks and equipment are safe, reliable, and ready for deployment at any time.QualificationsStrong skills in Diesel Mechanics, including diagnostics, repair, and troubleshooting of diesel engines and drivetrains.Experience with Vehicle Maintenance and Preventive Maintenance for trucks or commercial vehicles.Ability to service and repair Heavy Equipment and related systems used in towing and recovery operations.Competence in Equipment Maintenance, including inspections, parts replacement, and safety-focused servicing.Working knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and brake systems commonly found on trucks or similar vehicles.Physical ability to work in a shop and outdoor environment, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.Strong attention to detail, safety awareness, and reliable time management.Prior experience as a diesel mechanic or automotive technician; vocational training or relevant certifications are a plus.Valid driver’s license; a commercial driver’s license (CDL) or willingness to obtain one is beneficial.
