This role will communicate with patients and performs clinical services to ensure high quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.This opportunity is for a Float Medical Assistant role supporting the following clinics: Corona, Riverside FQHC, Rialto, and Arlanza. Travel between locations, build new connections, and grow your skills all while making a meaningful impact. As a true Float Pool member, you won't have a single "home site." Instead, you'll rotate across multiple clinics within a specific Float Zone, based on business needs. It's important to note: this is not a fixed multi-site position with a set schedule. Float Pool roles are dynamic and require a high level of flexibility.Responsibilities:Communicates and performs clinical care services with patientsTakes patient vital signs and obtains patient intake informationPerforms clinical procedures such as blood draws, vaccines, nebulizer treatments, ear lavages, and EKGsDiscusses patient needs and provides education and resources to patients directlyEnsures exam rooms are stocked, cleaned, and set up for examinations and proceduresCoordinates provider workflows to ensure efficient patient careEnsures provider has all pertinent information required for each patient visit including diagnostic images, labs and required screeningsAssists other providers and care teams in women's health, pediatrics and general medicine departments as neededUtilizes electronic health records to order, process and document clinical treatment plans for patient as directed by the providerConveys information to patients via telephone or email under the direction of a provider or Registered NurseProvides patient with requested documents after review to ensure forms are complete, accurate and executed by the providerCompletes ongoing/annual training for position complianceEducation/Experience:High School diploma or GED requiredValid Medical Assistant Certificate from an accredited program requiredCurrent Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required upon hire and must be maintained as a condition of employment. These courses must follow AHA guidelines, but may be completed through approved online providers such as ProMed or other equivalent programs that meet recognized BLS standards.Valid CA driver license and proof of auto insurance requiredOne year of medical assistant experience preferredAdditional Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities):Bilingual (English/Spanish or English/Arabic) highly preferredFamiliarity with medical procedures and terminologyProficiency with electronic health records system experience preferredIntermediate computer and data entry skillsMust use sound judgment to anticipate needs of patients and providersFlexibility with changing priorities and time sensitive deadlinesUse emotional and cultural intelligence to provide appropriate communication and patient careExemplify compassion to patients and team membersAbility to successfully manage multiple tasks simultaneouslyAbility to work as part of a team as well as independentlyAbility to work with highly confidential information in a professional and ethical mannerPhysical Requirements:Ability to lift/carry 15 lbs/weightAbility to stand for long periods of timePay Range: $24.95 - $34.93 per hour, depending on experience.Note: This Float Medical Assistant role will include an additional $2.00 per hour float differential on top of the standard Medical Assistant pay rate.Compensation Disclosure: The posted salary range reflects the designated pay grade for this position. While this range represents the broader classification of the role, actual compensation will be based on several factors, including but not limited to: the candidate's overall knowledge, skills, and experience, market data and industry benchmarks, internal equity within the organization, Budgetary considerations and organizational needs.
